Most of the popular Android handsets are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, well I know that you can easily mention their popular handset’s name like Google nexus One, Droid incredible, and the most expected handset at the moment HTC Evo 4G. and those handsets use a single-core chip at the moment. The good news is Qualcomm has just announced its first dual-core snapdragon chips with speeds up to 1.2 Ghz. The new chips, the MSM8260 (for HSPA+ networks) and MSM8660 (for multi-mode HSPA+/CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. B networks) aren’t for your run-of-the-mill phones. These chips are destined for very high-end smartphones and more likely set-top boxes such as Google TV, tablet, slate, and netbook computers. They will boost web app and multi-media performance (Flash?). Additionally, they will open the door for 1080p video and include support for 24-bit WXGA 1280-by-800 resolution displays. There is no official confirmation when Qualcomm’s dual-core porcessors would be available on the market, but they shipped their first “sample” yesterday. How bout their competitor? don’t worry Intel is working on their dual-core Atom processors as well. [Pocketnow]

While Acer is known for the Ferrari products, Asus has the same popularity with the Lamborghini products. Have a look on the picture above! it is one of their latest Lamborghini laptops. The company showed two new Lamborghini laptops at the Computex, the 11.6-inch dubbed as VX6 and 15.6-inch called VX7. The VX6 features a dual-core Intel Atom processor, NVIDIA Ion 2 graphics and USB 3.0 while The VX7 features an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA “enthusiast graphics” which means this will be a super laptop. Unfortunately, that’s what we have at the moment. What do you guys think about this brand new lambo laptops? [MW]
