WebOS is coming this year but we haven’t got any further information about it. As we enter the last quarter of this year, people must be expecting HP’s hard work at preparing WebOS 2.0 to be released. The good news is we have some leaked pictures about the WebOS 2.0 Screenshot. We hope HP will also released a high-end smartphone running WebOS 2.0. I expect more competition and this could be a challenge for Android and iPhone.

HTC dual-mode slider from Verizon Spotted at FCC

This HTC dual-mode slider is listed as the HTC PD42100 and this dual-mode HTC slider on the FCC now. The smartphone has a 4-inch screen and a four-row keyboard. Here we have a statement from FCC according to my Source:

According to the FCC documents, the PD42100 features support for CDMA and GSM networks, EV-DO Rev. A 3G, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/), and Bluetooth. The back of the phone shows that it has a removable battery, a microSD expansion slot, and a camera with a LED flash. There’s no mention of the processor and memory, but I’d guess that we’ll get at least a 1GHz chip with 512MB RAM/ROM. Based on HTC’s recent history, I’d expect the camera to be in the range of 8 megapixels.

I guess we’ll be seeing the smartphone though we haven’t got further information regarding the price and release date of this PD42100.

ExoPC is Now Available for Pre-order

You might have heard about the ExoPC Slate before The ExoPC is a Windows 7 tablet that places a customized UI over the OS to make it more touch-friendly.the tablet was reported that it would be shipped in September, specifically September 30th. For some reasons the ExoPC Slate has now been pushed back to October 15. the delay comes with the announcement that both the 32 and 64 GB versions of the Slate will be using SanDisk P4 mini-SSDs that a quite fast (220 MB/s read, 160 MB/s write speeds), that should give both versions about four hours of battery life. The 64 GB version was stripped of it’s GPS unit, however.

The company feel sorry about that push-back date but the tablet is up for pre-order now with the 32GB version going for $624 or the 64 GB version for $720. [gadgetell]

Google TV coming to U.S. this fall

Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt, has released a statement that Google TV will debut in the U.S. this autumn. Schmidt told the journalists that “we will work with content providers but it is very unlikely that we will get into actual content production.”
Well, What is Google TV? The Google TV is a new prodoct from google which runs Android 2.1 and allows users to surf the web and run Android applications through their TV. Google TV also equipped with Google’s Chrome web browser.
