Just as I assumed yesterday, that leaked Samsung QWERTY Android handset turned out to be AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S II. The handset – model number SGH-i927 – has just appeared in a set of hands-on photos, which confirm some f its features.
The new smartphone obviously runs Android Gingerbread (2.3.4). It has an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back and, of course, a sliding keyboard with those Android buttons on the sides.
Earlier this month, a Samsung exec said that the Galaxy S II would become available in the US starting August, so that’s when AT&T will probably launch its i927, too. Pictures after the jump.

Ever since iOS’ original release with the original iPhone Apple has been quite good at releasing new updates for the mobile platform giving us more features than ever before. Some of the features that have been added with software updates include copy & paste, the App Store and much more. However, if you’ve been paying attention you’ll probably know that there are still some user gripes with the platform such as the notification system which Apple will be updating with the release of iOS 5 at some point in the not so distant future.
If, however, you are urning for an udpate you’re in luck as it was just made known today that iOS 4.3.5 is now available for download. Of course, this update won’t be bringing with it many ground breaking features at all as the only update included within the update seems to be fix for a certificate validation vulnerability.
While the average user will definitely want to grab the update those of you who are partial to jailbreaking may way to stray away as no information has been released on an untethered iOS 4.3.5 jailbreak just yet. We’ll keep you posted.

Have Wi-Fi connectivity problems with your Dell Venue Pro? Soon you’ll have no reasons for worry with Dell’s Lionel Menchacatweeting the update is on the way to address the issue and also bring some other feature and performance enhancements to the phone. Here’s what he said: The #dellvenuepro firmware update starts rolling out today for T-Mobile customers in the US + all other customers outside the US.
Later on he added that the update for the unlocked device has started rolling out, while the T-Mo locked versions are delayed until next week. Not a single word about AT&T’s
Venue Pro. I guess those of you who grabbed the device from AT&T will have to wait a little longer. We can only hope HSPA connectivity works best for you anyway, though I can’t imagine that to be the cas

Pantech did shake up the Android smartphone market in May when it introduced the Vega X, the fastest smartphone with some monster capabilities. The tech giant is now touching new heights with the release of a much more powerful gadget, the Vega N5, which is touted to be a crossover between a tablet and a smartphone.
Driven by 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 processor, it features 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 16GB of internal storage space and 5-inch display with a native resolution of 800 x 480. It will run Android 2.3.3 Android OS and we wonder why Honeycomb wasn’t considered here. The disappointing bit is that as of now this one’s only for the domestic Korean markets and a global launch isn’t on the cards. The one is available for about US $767 equivalent and if you really want one, add the cost of your air travel to Korea too.
