HTC Radar Windows Phone Mango India HTC Radar And Acer Allegro With Windows Phone Mango Announced In India

Not long after Samsung announced its new Omnia W for the Indian market, we’re now hearing that two other Windows Phone Mango handsets are going to be launched there soon: the HTC Radar and the Acer Allegro.

Like the Omnia W, both the HTC Radar and the Acer Allegro will become available starting November.

The HTC Radar will be sold for 23,990 INR (about $489), coming with a 3.8 inch S-LCD WVGA Gorilla Glass display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 512MB of internal memory, 1GHz single-core processor, and 8GB of internal memory.

The Acer Allegro’s price for India is not known at the moment. However, we know that the handset should cost €300 in Europe (that’s about 20,000 INR). Most likely, the Allegro is the Acer W4, so it should feature a 3.6 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, 5MP camera, and a 1GHz processor.

AT&T’s HTC HD7S Can Be Had For Just $0.01 Until October 11

HTC HD7S ATT 1cent AT&T’s HTC HD7S Can Be Had For Just $0.01 Until October 11

Truth be told, AT&T’s HTC HD7S was never an expensive device. In fact, it launched carrying the pretty reasonable price of $99.99 with a two-year contract. And that was direct from the carrier itself, not from a third party retailer having a special offer or anything like that. Speaking of which, we’ve since seen the HD7S go for as low as $49 at Best Buy at one time, but now AT&T has decided it’s got to make the HD7S into a bargain somehow. Too much stock, perhaps?

Anyway, if you’re interested in a Windows Phone device, and AT&T is your carrier, listen up. You can now buy the HD7S from AT&T for just one cent ($0.01) until October 11 (that’s next Tuesday). You’ll still need to sign a new two-year contract of course, but this is practically a free smartphone if you want it.

The HTC HD7S has a 4.3-inch 800×480 touchscreen, a 1 GHz processor, 576 MB of RAM, 16 GB of built-in storage, a 5 MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording, alongside all the connectivity options one should expect from a smartphone in 2011. The HD7S should be updated to Windows Phone 7.5 Mango soon.

If you’re interested in picking one up, head over to AT&T now.

RadarTitanPreorderad Unlocked HTC Titan And Radar Now Available For Pre Order In US

The HTC Titan is expected to hit AT&T sometime this holiday season, while the Radar is expected to hit T-Mobile in the same time frame as well. If you are too impatient to wait for either of these devices to arrive or you simply just feel like blowing a good amount of dough, you can now pre-order the unlocked versions of both the HTC Titan and Radar.

Both of these devices are listed on CellHut.com as being compatible on AT&T, T-Mobile, Celluar One, and a few other carriers. The Radar will go for $599.99, while the Titan is more expensive at $799.99.

Both devices carry a pretty hefty price off contract, which is no surprise. What surprises me is that both these devices are listed as on sale. If you don’t currently have a Windows 7 phone and you are that anxious to get your hands on Mango and have the extra cash around, go for it. The site doesn’t give any particular release date, but you’re guaranteed your device once it comes out. We will keep you updated on the status of the Radar and Titan.

We already know that the HTC Titan, Radar and Sensation XE are going to be released in the UK starting next month. What we didn’t know is that all three new smartphones may become available to British customers in the first week of October.

According to Clove, the Radar and the Sensation XE should be in stock starting October 4, while the Titan is expected to arrive three days later, on October 7.

The HTC Titan (a true Windows Phone Mango flagship) will be the most expensive handset among these three, since it’s priced at £498 (including VAT). The Android Gingerbread-based Sensation XE will cost £492, while the Radar (a mid-end Mango phone) is going to cost £342.

Apart from being available unlocked, the Titan, Radar and Sensation XE will also be sold via various British networks. For example, O2 will offer the Sensation XE, and Orange is going to sell the Radar.

HTC Radar1 HTC Radar 4G Hits FCC, Heading To T Mobile

The HTC Radar 4G, one of the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices, has just hit the FCC. A FCC sighting is always a good indication that a device is on its way to its respective carrier and we also saw some screenshots of the Radar the other day which revealed that the device will be available on T-Mobile.

Specs wise, the Radar 4G features a 3.7 inch WVGA display, Netflix support, a 1.0 GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera in the rear, a front-facing camera and 8 GB of onboard memory. This device will run on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network.

Unfortunately, no info on pricing or availability were mentioned in the FCC filling. We will keep you updated as more info becomes available on the HTC Radar 4G.

HTC Titan Windows phone Mango 75 Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Updates Coming In “The Next Week Or Two”

Although it won’t arrive this week, as previously rumored, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is really close to becoming available to older WP handsets.

Microsoft has announced via the official Windows Phone blog that Mango updates are expected “to start rolling it out in the next week or two.” That’s certainly good news for those currently owning a Windows Phone 7 device. All WP7 handsets will get the update, with no exception, although the exact timing will depend on manufacturers and carriers.

Until now, only five new Mango smartphones have been officially introduced: Fujitsu Toshiba IS12T , HTC Titan (pictured above), HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S, and Samsung Focus Flash (the two Samsungs haven’t been shown yet). More are on their way, of course, including devices made by Nokia, which should appear starting the fourth quarter of the year.

Announced by AT&T last week, the Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash (the first two Windows Phone Mango handsets from Samsung) may not be released in the UK.

According to SoMobile, “a representative from Samsung Europe has confirmed that the company currently has no plans to bring either of these phones to the UK.”

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the smartphones will never make it to the UK. Maybe Samsung will change its plans soon, or maybe it’s going to offer the new Focus handsets under different names to British customers. We can’t know for sure
Samsung has yet to show us what the Focus S and Focus Flash look like – although the Focus S is most likely the Galaxy S II-like handset that Microsoft presented a few months ago (pictured above). We’ll show you the two smartphones as soon as press photos of them become available.

nokia win 7 concept 610 w300 Nokia Windows Phones Still In Line For 2011 Release

Nokia announced its plans to release blowers packing Microsoft’s Windows Phone software way back in February. Fast forward seven months and there’s still no specific release date for the devices, which have already been gazumped by HTC’s new Titan and Radar handsets.

However, Nokia has taken to Twitter to reassure anxious fans that the company is still planning to unleash the next-gen phones before the year is out. The @nokia account tweeted, “We cannot confirm local availability but the 1st Nokia w/WP (Windows Phone) devices will ship in Q4 and with volumes in 2012 cc @NokiaAustralia.”

This at least assuages fears that Espoo, renowned for delaying its best smartphones for months after their announcement, is at least on track. However, its interesting to note that Nokia Australia was copied in. Is this where the first Nokia Windows Phones will be released? It’d be a bizarre move by the Finns if so.
