15 Droid X2 Finally, Motorola Droid X2 Officially Announced

After all the leaks, rumors, photographs, videos and speculations, it took Verizon and Motorola their sweet time, but they finally did it. Earlier today, the two companies officially announced the launch of the Droid X2. With all its specs confirmed prior to today, it wasn’t really much of a surprise, but we’ve discovered some new features of the phone and its price on contract.

The Motorola Droid X2 will have a 4.3″ scratch-resistant, anti-reflective qHD display, dual-core 1GHz processor, Mirror Mode through HDMI output, 8megapixel rear camera, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. It also comes preloaded with enterprise-ready security and IT-grade policies. With Mobile hotspot capabilities, the Droid X2 can share its 3G connection with up to 5 other WiFi-enabled devices. It will also ship with Android 2.2, though an upgrade to Android 2.3 is promised.

The Droid X2 will be available online today from the Verizon online store, while it will only be available at retail outlets starting next week, May 26th. The phone will cost $199.99 with a 2-year contract on Verizon.  Anyone interested? Go grab it.
