The Samsung Galaxy Note, this niche device with a 5.3-inch touchscreen, is due to arrive in the UK soon. Over the past few weeks, its price over there kept changing, and none of the numbers popping up was low. First we were told it will go for £600, then that got changed to a whopping £670, and we were left wondering whether anyone would shell out that amount of cash for anything that isn’t an iPhone – 5.3-inch screen or not.
Well, we have some good news. Samsung seems to have understood that there is an upper limit to what you can charge people for a smartphone, high-end as it may be, and thus the company decided to take the price back down. To £594. That’s not much of a cut, but it’s something nevertheless. And the good news doesn’t stop there.
Initially we were told that the Galaxy Note would become available in the UK on November 17. But well known online retailer Clove now says it will receive its first Galaxy Note stock on November 1, so the launch has been brought forward, which can only be good news for those of you anxious to pick up this huge device.
If you’re interested in doing that, perhaps you should head over to Clove right now and pre-order one. You know, just so you’re sure to get it first.
