galaxy s froyo Samsung Galaxy S Gets Android 2.2 update On August Good news for Samsung Galaxy S owners in Korea. Samsung has just announced the official update for Galaxy S to get Android 2.2 Froyo, unfortunately these updates being available only for Korean at the moment. The Update will be available on August and Galaxy S owners in US or elsewhere will not get any update yet at the moment, but we hope the international Android 2.2 update will be available soon before the year end. All the UI features such as TouchWiz 3.0 and Social Hub among others will be integrated in the next update. Can’t wait to see it on the global update. [UG]

I’m a present Omnia (910) user on Verizon who was extremely disappointed with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Samsung’s shell. Wound up buying SPB Mobile Shell to obtain a usable interface and had to abandon Exchange e-mail caused by protection restrictions. Generally anytime you tried to place or obtain a call, you had to enter your PIN and I was missing calls as being a result. As a final point decided to abandon smartphones for the time getting (economic reasons) and wait for a great Android gadget. The Galaxy S (Facinate) must fit the bill. Disappointed to hear of the GPS difficulties. Let me add that Verizon’s 3G support was superb throughout and I ultimately stopped utilizing WiFi since V3G was plenty quickly ample for me.Interestingly, I’m making use of the Omnia as a wireless product all-around the home for checking e mail, Twitter, Facebook and simple browsing. But not as being a phone!
