Russians will soon be able to pick up Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 PMPs. Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 are inspired by Samsung’s bestselling Galaxy S phone and will be released in April and May with storage option 8GB and 16GB respectively.
Both the players run on Android 2.2 that will be upgradeable to Android 2.3 and comes with similar features like a 1GHz CPU, 3.2MP rear camera, LED flash (Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 only), VGA camera for video calling, wide range of multimedia codec support, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, accelerometer, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB.
Few features that distinguish both these players are its screen – Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 has a WVGA Super Clear LCD whereas Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 has a normal TFT LCD with WVGA resolution support; internal memory and battery capacity which is 1200mAh in 4.0 and 2500mAh in 5.0.
The 4-inch model will sell for 9,990 rubles and 5-inch player will go for 12,990 rubles
Mobile World Congress still has a few days left meaning we’re sure to see a whole slew of new announcements come from the event. In fact, just now T-Mobile has come forth to show off both the Samsung Galaxy Mini and the T-Mobile Move.
If you couldn’t tell by its name the Samsung Galaxy Mini is a low cost alternative to its big brother, the Samsung Galaxy S. This Android ‘Froyo‘ 2.2 powered device features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 600MHz processor, 150MB of built-in storage and a microSDHC card slot. The T-Mobile Move, on the other hand, also runs Android 2.2 but features a 2.8-inch display, 150MB of internal storage, a 2-megapixel camera and a microSDHC slot.
No word on an exact release date but T-Mobile has told us that the Samsung Galaxy Mini and T-Mobile Move will be out this spring for between $50 and $75 each. We’ll keep you posted.

Samsung Forte was previously reported will be coming soon to MetroPCS with QWERTY keyboard and the Samsung SCH-R910 without keyboard. Today we have another news from an anonymous Flickr account, he gives away eighteen pictures on the fact that those two devices are actually one. The pictures describe that the smartphone featuring a 5 megapixel camera, Android 2.2.1 OS and a 1GHz processor as the rumor said. Samsung added their custom TouchWiz UI on the Forte. US Cellular has just release an official update of the Android 2.2.1 Froyo for the Samsung Acclaim, So if you are one of the Acclaim’s owner than this is a very good news for you because It’s not often that you see a Samsung device running stock Froyo through official channels. Don’t forget to backup all of your data before you upgrade it. Please check this site for more information regarding the upgrade.
Android 2.2 Froyo updates now available for every US Cellular’s Samsung Acclaim users. Though it has not coming over-the-air, but it is available to download from Samsung’s support site. The file is 102 MB large, you have to put it onto your computer, then connect your phone to your computer and start the update. Please remember to back up everything on your phone just to prevent you from losing any data. On the Mid-October T-Mobile began in rolling out the long awaited and highly anticipated Android 2.2 Froyo update for original myTouch 3G owners. On December 15th 2010, T-Mobile announced from their official forums that the original myTouch 3G 2.2 update was successfully completed. Finally, T-Mobile has just announced that the update for myTouch 3G 3.5mm Jack and myTouch 3G Fender Limted Edition will be rolled out starting from Wednesday, January 12th. The OTA update will be sent to myTouch 3G 3.5mm Jack and myTouch Fender LE in staggered waves beginning January 12 and is expected to be completed by February 1, 2011. Sprint has announced the availability of the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for Samsung’s entry-level Intercept. The DL05 update also improves Sprint Navigation and fixes for inadvertent force closures and dropped calls. The Android 2.2 (Froyo) update will be released in batches by Google, so you might have to wait for some time. Google’s Android OS has growing unexpectedly, and it is rapidly spreading in the market. I believe this is because Google have innovated some pretty sought after features like free turn-by-turn GPS surface in Google Maps Navigation and now Google has came with a new fantastic Voice Actions feature.
This Voice Action feature allows you to control several Android functions utilizing nothing more than your voice. This feature able to do sending a text messsage, location specific calling, set alarms, web browsing and a unique ‘find music’ function. The good news is, you don’t have to wait until Android 3.0 to get this update because it will be preinstalled on the Motorola Droid 2 with a version for Android 2.2 hitting the marketplace soon.
