The tablet world has effectively blown up with just about every hardware manufacturer in the game getting down on the fun. However, this may never have happened had it not been for Apple’s announcement of the iPad early last year. Of course, while the original iPad caused a ton of hype to shift towards the tablet form factor the device itself was not perfect by any means.
Luckily, Apple looks to remedy many of the user gripes surrounding the original iPad with the second generation device appropriately dubbed the iPad 2. For those still not aware the iPad 2 features a dual-core processor, front/rear facing cameras and a new thin design. However, seeing how it’s an Apple product, it’s been quite hard for retailers to keep the device on the shelves.
Well, if you’re one who is looking to get their hands on an iPad 2 and have yet been able to do so perhaps there is a new chance. It was just made known earlier today that the iPad 2 will be available at Radio Shack starting tomorrow March 29th. Stock is sure to be limited so if you’re hoping to get down on this you better make sure you show up and/or phone ahead to secure a unit.
Verizon Wireless has announced the pricing and plans for the iPad 2 with 3G, which will be released tomorrow evening.
Pricing for the iPad 2 will be $629.99 for the 16GB model, $729.99 for the 32GB model, and $829.99 for the 64GB model, which is the same as the pricing for the original iPad as announced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Verizon Wireless will be offering four monthly data plans for the iPad 2, all without contracts. Customers can purchase 1GB of usage for $20 per month, 3GB for $35 per month, 5GB for $50 per month, and 10GB for $80 per month. The 1GB plan has an overage charge of $20 per GB, while the other plans have charges of $10 per GB over the allotment. Any of the plans can be canceled at any time.
Just like the Verizon’s iPhone rumor, it looks like Apple is going to do something Huge this following weeks. While we haven’t gotten anything official regarding the iPad 2 out of Apple, Digg.com founder Kevin Rose has come forth to give his insight. According to Rose, Apple is set to launch the iPad 2 within the next 3-4 weeks “possibly Tuesday, February 1st”. Additionally, Rose says the tablet will feature a display with a higher resolution than the original generation device alongside front and rear facing cameras.
Can this statement to be believed? Well, the speculation regarding the hardware changes seems about right but we’ll have to wait for the official confirmation. [MW]
iPad has changed the whole tablet market. Nowadays, we can found tablets all around us. The next generation of Apple’s iPad is very interesting to be discussed, let’s just call it the iPad 2. While we have no official confirmation as to what exactly this new iOS powered tablet will include we’ve speculated that it will feature a Retina Display and FaceTime support, at least. Some publications have speculated that Apple will do away with the current LCD display and instead make the switch to AMOLED.
Unfortunately, we have a report saying that the hardware manufacturer behind the iPad 2′s screens has confirmed that they are in fact LCD and not AMOLED. But, I believe it won’t be an ordinary LCD. Let’s wait for further information about this iPad 2. [Digitimes]

Day by day apple iPad’s contenders are increasing. Now Asus also join the Tablet market with releasing the Asus Eee Pad, in the coming months the company will launch at least two Eee Pad tablet PCs. It seems that Asus Eee Pad will be a serious threath to iPad because the tablet will run with OS Chrome, Android and Windows. Not only that, what makes Asus Eee Pad specia is the tablet packs Nvidia Tegra 2 Chipset which I believe will add better graphic performance. Asus Promise that the Eee Pad will be cheaper than iPad and you can underline that the Asus eee Pad packs better specs than iPad. [lifeatmost]
The Archos Company revealed the Archos 7 and 8 before, and now we heard that the Archos 7 is ready to hit the market starting from April. This Android OS based tabler will be retailed for around €180 for the 8GB storage capacity and €149 for the 2GB version. We haven’t heard anything about the Archos 8 which has larger screen but same specs inside. I don’t know if this product could get some attention Since everyone is waiting for the Apple iPad release. Apple known as the one of the popular technology giant in the world. Apple is the company who love to introduce new stuff. And then other companies start following it. Like i said before, That the iPhone is one of the first modern touchscreen phone . And after the launch of iPhone, every company start making touchscreen phone . iMac is also an example. A month ago, Apple introduce their latest device, known as the Apple iPad. Whats the biggest fault in the tablet? . Near me, the biggest is the price . $999 , who will pay this for a Tablet with no flash, USB slot and multitasking. I think $500 price tag will be good for the iPad. HP Slate will compete with the Apple iPad and may be HP slate will win . It is rumored that the price of HP Slate will be near $629. The HP Slate comes with Windows 7 and 3G functionality. HP Slate would be based on Intel’s Atom processor and will have solid state storage, multi-touch display and accelerometer.[PL]
