Do you still remember the Huawei Honor that we posted earlier this month? Huawei has officially confirmed the availability of this Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread smartphone in Asia-Pacific, China, Russia and the Middle East. Measuring at just 10.9mm thick and weighing 140 grams, the Huawei Honor features a 1.4GHz processor, a large 4-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel HDR-enabled camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 1,900mAh battery. What’s more, this smartphone is also DLNA-certified, allowing you to easily share your photos, music and videos across different DLNA-certified devices. Available in Classic Black, the Huawei Honor will be released in Q4, 2011. No word on pricing so far.

The Samsung Indulge is currently the king at Cricket, but Huawei is vying to steal the prepaid carrier’s throne with its Glory. PC Magazine caught a glimpse of a pre-production unit, which features a 1.4GHz MSM8655T Snapdragon SoC — the same as the upcoming Pre 3, which supports (but may not feature) dual mode GSM / CDMA for world roaming — a 4-inch 854 x 480 TFT display, and an 8 megapixel AF camera with LED flash. While the manufacturer suggested its smartphone would be dual-core, the single Scorpion CPU associated with this chipset suggests otherwise — though customers can rightfully expect an Adreno 205 GPU. Rounding out the components, you’ll find a beefy 1900mAh battery, EV-DO Rev. A., WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 2GB of storage (with an available expansion slot).
Interestingly, Huawei hints that we’ll see a “surprising” multimedia solution that compensates for the lack of HDMI — anyone care to place bets on MHL or DLNA? The phone will ship in November with Gingerbread (followed by an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich), and is expected to retail for approximately $299. With such lofty components, it’s easy to see where Cricket fans will be directing thanks for this holiday feast.

Out in Singapore, Huawei has just launched their brand new 7-inch MediaPad, putting it in line with such tablets as the HTC Flyer and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. What sets it apart, though, is that it’s running the Android 3.2.
Now, Huawei has stated that 3.2 is essentially Honeycomb optimized for 7-inch screens, so you might see a somewhat similar experience to the new Galaxy Tab 10.1. The 10.5mm body is still thicker than the iPad, but under the surface comes a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm dual-core processor, a 217 pixels-per-inch IPS touchscreen, front and rear-facing cameras for those sweet Skype sessions, and 8GB of internal storage. It also supports Bluetooth, 1080p video playback and comes with an HDMI output. While it does support 3G, Huawei has no plans for making a WiFi-only model, which kinda sucks for those who might prefer the option.
You can expect a stateside release in the coming weeks.

We have heard about Huawei S7 Android tablet before at Computex, and for some reason at that time it would only be available at Expansys. Actually the shipping date of this Android tablet was tagged for September 5th, in case you don’t remember about this product, this is an Android 2.1 tablet with a 768MHz Snapdragon processor and SDHC memory card slot.
The good news is the SDHC bundled version could be “in the market” tomorrow for $460, and the non-SDHC model should show up in September for $360. Are you interested to get one? [UG]

Most of us are expecting an Android 2.2 Froyo handset which only available on nexus one for now, and we are expecting to see it on all Motorola phones, but have a look at this device. This Leaked picture comes from a chinese tipster, the picture shows a Huawei Handset pack with an Android 2.2 Froyo and it is an entry level phone with a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera (perhaps with dual-LED flash), and HSDPA 3G connectivity. This Huawei phone is rumored to come in August, but no words on pricing yet. [Engadget]
