Olive Telecom the Indian Carrier has just announced India’s first 3.5G Android tablet dubbed as The Olive Pad VT100. This Android tablet has a 7-inch slate with an 800 x 480 resolution on a capacitive touchpanel, Bluetooth, WiFi, an SD card slot, 512MB of internal memory (plus 512MB ROM), a 3.5mm audio jack, 3 megapixel camera, mini USB socket and a 3,240mAh battery. The Olive Pad also has a front facing camera for video calls surprisingly this device supports voice. The Olive Pad VT100 expected to be launched in India next month for Rs.20000 to Rs.25000 ($425 to $530) while Russia and Europe could be the next target. [Engdaget]

It’s not official yet but it looks like this could be real, the Galaxy S which features Super AMOLED display and Android 2.1, is going to be launched in some way or another on each of the major wireless carriers here in the United States. The word is spreading fast from one of their sources that it’s going to hit in India as well in June. According to the source, one of the devices could be launched soon on June 10, we don’t know yet which one will be the first. The Samsung S3370 has a couple unofficial appearance before. And now, The handset has been officially announced in Russia. The Samsung S3370 named as Corby 3G. This S3370 Corby 3G comes with a 3G connectivity, a 2.6 inch QVGA touchscreen display, TouchWiz UI 2.0, Bluetooth, music and video player, FM radio, DNSe 2.0, 1.3MP camera, and MicroSD card support. Just like the other handset, Corby 3G also features social networking integration. You might have heard before The Corby 3G name was also given to the Samsung Lindy M5650 in India, In my opinion Samsung give different names in different countries. India is one of the Largest population country in the world and it is also known as the world’s second largest market, but there are still more than 500 million indian people who don’t have a cell phone. I believe this is the reason why Nokia is planning to launch a low cost phones for 1,000 INR (about $20) in India. According to Economic Times India, there will be “a limited number of sets” priced at only 500 INR ($10), it is very cheap! BlackBerry Bold 9700 has just been launched in India. The second generation bold will be available on most Indian mobile carriers: Airtel, Reliance, Vodafone, Tata, Idea Cellular, BSNL, Aircel, MTNL and Loop Mobile. The Blackberry Bold comes with a full QWERTY keyboard “with finely sculpted keys and chrome frets”, optical trackpad, a 480 x 360 pixels light-sensing display, BlackBerry OS 5.0, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Media player, 3.5mm headset jack, 3.2MP camera with LED flash, 624MHz processor, 256MB of flash memory, and MicroSD card support. India has received two more products from Samsung after the successful one Samsung Corby. The Samsung CorbyPlus B3410 and Samsung CorbyPro B5310 are handsets that aimed for the youth segment. These phones provides access to famous Social Networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, or MySpace from the TouchWiz User Interface. The Samsung CorbyPro B5310 comes with GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 3.2MP camera and a 100MB of storage space and retails for 13,900 INR ($299).
