There is a new Asus laptop added to the ExcaliberPC catalog, more specifically the Asus U46SV-DH5 model that is already available for pre-order and is priced at $880 with a shipping date set for the 1st of October.
The Asus U46SV-DH5 is powered by an Intel Core i5-2410M processor that can go from 2.30GHz up to 2.90GHz, while the standard memory RAM is set at 4GB and can be expanded up to 8GB of DDR3. On the graphics card we’ve got a nVidia GeForce GT 540M and the hard-drive comes with 640GB of storage capacity which should be enough to store all your personal data before you need to buy an external hard-drive. Anyway, the LED screen size is set at 14-inches and provides a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
The usual goodies of this Asus laptop includes a below the average 0.3-megapixel camera, a 3-in-1 media card reader, HDMI and VGA as display ports, and the normal WiFi and blueooth.

The famous Taiwan-based electronics firm MSI has recently launched onto the market its 2 new laptop computers that are part of the company’s G series gaming laptops.
At the moment the devices dubbed GT780DXR and GT683DXR are the most powerful gaming laptops on the market, featuring Intel Core i7 processors and boasting a new graphic card from Nvidia – GeForce GTX 570M GPU.
Both gadgets have maximum power for video game settings and a DDR3 RAM boasting a capacity of 16 gigabytes.
The two laptop computers have their cases made of brushed aluminum. This material increases the durability and solidness to GT780DXR and the GT683DXR.
The GT680DXR laptop features a 17.3-inch Full HD Non Reflection screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It also has a programmable backlit keyboard. The GT780DXR has a smaller 15.6-inch Full HD glossy display.
Both laptops are sold with a Blu-ray burner and hard drives with a capacity of 1.5TB each. Due to the Turbo Drive Engine technology, the laptops register 3.5 per cent increase in graphics processing.
In addition, gamers will benefit from good sound quality thanks to the THX Surround Sound speakers. Each of the new laptops from MSI has a 720p webcam, Bluetooth, 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi for connectivity.

In case you are looking for an average laptop with an affordable price, check out the new Hannspree model codenamed SN12E24B7P that is available at Newegg for a very cheap price – only $300.
With that being said, the Hannspree SN12E24B7P comes with a Pentium dual-core processor at 1.23GHz, as well as a GS45 chipset that boasts a GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics card. For $300 you can’t get a big display screen so the 12.1-inch display with anti-glare and a resolution of 1366×768 pixels is good enough. Toshiba make a minor update fot it’s Qosmio F750 glasses-free 3D laptop for US release and call it Qosmio F750. This 15.6-inch laptop will be powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, 6GB of RAM, 750GB hard disk, Blu-ray drive and GeForce GT 540M GPU. Unfortunately F750 didn’t support2D games to 3D convertion out of the box although the feature will be available in November. Qosmio F750 will be available starting on August 16th with a $1,699 starting price.

When it comes to processor for laptops, the first name across to our mind must be Intel and rarely AMD. But be ready to get ARM-powered Android laptop possibly later this year. Some manufacturer including Samsung, Toshiba, Acer and Asus are planning to develop ARM architecture laptop. However, the ARM-based laptop is not a new beast anyway since Toshiba already launch Smartbook, ARM-powered laptop a couple of years ago.
