Windows Mobile
After the Windows Phone 7 Series Announcement, Microsoft plans Windows Mobile 6.5 to be renamed by Windows Phone “CLASSIC”. I wonder why does Microsoft choose the CLASSIC word coz it sounds very old. The answer from Microsoft is that WinMo 6.5 will continue to be supported, and will coexist alongside the new Windows Phone 7. I don’t know what Microsoft might have planned once Windows Phone 7 available, will they abandon the Classic? What about the older version from WinMo 6.5? Should it be called SUPER-CLASSIC? [Gizmodo]

First it was just a rumor, but now, it’s a reality. Yes guys, The Wall Street Journal has recently confirmed that Microsoft will introduce its new mobile OS on Monday, February 15th during Mobile World Conference in Barcelona. And as you know that the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is also coming, So i think it’s confirmed .Because Steve only comes in BIG announcements. The show will start at 3pm local time on Monday 15 February . The Wall Street Journal says:
At a wireless industry conference in Barcelona on Monday, the company plans to publicly show a new version of its cellphone operating system, Windows Mobile 7, for the first time, according to people familiar with the matter. The operating system sports a revamped user interface that resembles the look of Microsoft’s Zune HD music player, people who have seen it said.
So here we are . Here you can see that WSJ also claims that Windows Phone 7 will come with a new UI, resembling the one on Zune. And i dont think so MS will announce a Zune Phone .So it’s mean if WinMo 7 is coming then WinMo 6.5 is dead. . What you guys think about it?[Gizmodo]

Words are up that the Microsoft have plans to announce details about The Windows Mobile 7 during Mobile World Congress. As we know that Microsoft is working on a new Mobile Software . And it will be Windows Mobile 7 . PPCGeeks claims to have uncovered some unofficial information regarding the new mobile OS. Microsoft only plans on showing off the user interface without getting detailed on any hardware or even in-depth software details. The UI itself will be very similar to the look of the Zune HD, with a completely new Start screen. Have a look on the unofficial features:
- You won’t be able to sideload apps into the platform via cable or storage card; rather, any and all apps will be downloaded via Marketplace
- Marketplace will have a new API and will offer trial periods for paid apps
- WM7 will be fully integrated with Zune
- No multitasking; push notifications will be supported, and apps will pause when exited.
- Full integration of XBOX gaming: friends, avatars, achievements, gamer tags, etc.
- No more OEM interfaces such as Sense and TouchFLO
Nothing is confirm because this is unofficial. But the MWC is coming. So guys stay tuned. [UV]
