Dokobots is a game for iOS that involves some geo-location action just like Foursquare. Dokobots works as a global scavenger hunt, and it gives the user the ability to “scan” a map of a surrounding area in order to get your robot army.
Actually, I think the robots are pretty harmless. However, Dokobots will awake in a blank slate, and it is up to the user to give the individual robots a name and function. So if you want to have a Dokobot that visits “every dive bar in the world”, you can. I don’t really understand how this game actually works, but Dokobots allows the user to place the robots onto a scene and share an image on Facebook, Twitter, and Email. Why don’t you just try it for free on iTunes?

Well, maybe someday that dream could come true because today Airbot, a robot with telekinesis ability was created by two University of Illinois students Aaron Becker and Robert Sanheinrich, as well as the help of their professor, Timothy Bretl. It was first on display at IROS 2009 (IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent RObots and Systems). The Airbot also has the ability to use its air-stream to lift any object weighing up to 188 grams and 97mm in radius. Watch the video.. it’s pretty cool!
