It seems like Virgin Mobile – the company that announced the LG Optimus V in their catalog earlier this year – will soon present a new smartphone entitled JukeB which is made by TCT Mobile from China.

At the moment there aren’t many exact details about the device, for example there isn’t a price tag or release date, but we know some basic features of the upcoming smartpone such as Android Gingerbread 2.3.4. as the operative system and by looking at the image we can also see a full QWERTY keyboard. Other known details include a QVGA display screen (no information about the size) as well as bluetooth, a 1,300mAh battery, and a rear camera. Last but not least there is also details about its dimensions and weight, it measures 119 x 58 x 12.43 mm and can be considered pretty light-weight at 122 grams.

So far this is the only information available about the Virgin Mobile JukeB, but we’ll keep you updated.

Nokia N9 Coming to UK and Sweden

n9 in sweden king Nokia N9 Coming to UK and Sweden

Okay, so Nokia has made it abundantly clear that the N9 — the company’s current halo smartphone — has no future in the US, UK, or most recently… Germany. It’s quite the bum’s rush for the handset that could have been Mr. Elop’s shining star, but if you live in Sweden or the UK, there’s still a few options. Independent dealers Katshing (for Sweden), and Expansys (for the UK), are both offering the device on pre-order. The release date hasn’t been established by either reseller, but Katshing quotes a price of 5,490 Kronas ($845). Unfortunately, Expansys is remaining coy with its pricing strategy — perhaps recognizing its new relative exclusivity. It’s sad seeing the N9 fading into oblivion before its release, but if you’re still pining over this sweet slab, at least these independents are watching out for you. [engadget]

BlackBerry Bold Touch Makes Brief Appearance On RIMS’s website

As you may have have been able to discern from the multitude of leaks that have surfaced over the past few months, RIM is apparently getting set to debut a new touchscreen-equipped BlackBerry Bold at BlackBerry World next week. While still not completely official, that’s now been all but confirmed by RIM itself, which briefly featured the teaser pictured above on its website before pulling it for reasons unknown. As you can see, RIM apparently couldn’t help itself and promised that it will be a “bold step ahead,” and it appears that the phone is unsurprisingly running BlackBerry 7, which until recently was better known as OS 6.1. Of course, that’s hardly the only news we’re expecting to hear at BlackBerry World, and you can be sure we’ll be there to brave the puns and bring it all to you.
