The HTC Evo 3D will be available at Vodafone?

Posted on 02 August 2011 by martin

Reportedly, HTC stated in an email that its 3D Android handset “will go on sale through Vodafone and distributors in six major European countries.” Unfortunately, it’s not quite clear if these six countries include the UK – so maybe Vodafone did cancel the handset’s launch, but only on British territory.

In any case, Vodafone UK is already offering the HTC Sensation, which comes with all the features you’ll find in the Evo 3D, sans 3D capabilities though (these aren’t that useful anyway). While Vodafone may have ditched the Evo 3D, you’ll still be able to buy it in the UK (starting September), most likely from most of the major phone retailers.

Ausdroid received an image from Vodafone’s July catalogue, which shows the new tablet as “coming soon.” Sure enough, “soon” may actually not mean this month, but there are good chances it does.

The new Galaxy Tab 10.1 is thinner than the old version (8.6mm compared to 10.9mm), it comes with a new TouchWiz UX UI, and a different rear camera (3.2MP instead of 8MP). Other than that, the two Android Honeycomb tablets are pretty much the same.
