So, what’s new in Windows Mobile 6.5.3? In general, the UI has become a bit more finger friendly compared to 6.5, i.e. bigger icons, dropdown entries etc. Sony Ericsson’s custom addition, the SlideView, is already known from the Xperia X2. It provides quick access to messaging, media player, calendar and – as a novelty – Facebook contact information such as comments and posts.
The full featured QWERTY keyboard provides an OK haptic feedback, however the surface of the keys are a little bit too slippery. The device itself feels comfortable in your hands.

We already heard that Windows Mobile 7 is coming soon, but today we have a confirmation from CNET’s Beyond Binary column reports that shows
“Microsoft is still planning to finalize the code for Windows Mobile 7 by summer in order to have the new software on devices that ship before the end of the year.”
They also claim that a phone which connected to the Zune service and which was based on Windows Mobile was also due to arrive this year, and should come earlier in the year ahead of Windows Mobile 7 devices.
They also claims that “Zune phone” which has been rumored around the web may be branded by Microsoft and the result of the Pink team works will be coming in only a few months, and a different branch which would be the actual Windows Mobile used and branded by other OEM’s.
