A Chinese blog unveiled some pictures of the upcoming Windows Phone 7 from Sony Ericsson. These pictures show a device clearly labelled as a prototype and not for sale, and it shows an attractive, large-screened and relatively thin slider.
The UI is clearly from a very old build of Windows Phone 7, and it has been suggested by some of our readers that this may be a scrapped handset after Microsoft and Sony Ericsson could not come to an agreement around Xbox Live after Mobile World Congress 2011. As we know that Sony Ericsson was after all one of the announced launch partners at the time.
In fact we have a report from June 2010 of a device called the Sony Ericsson Julie, which was said to feature a 4 inch screen like the SE X10, a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 1 Ghz processor, standard for the Windows Phone 7 platform.
On the other hand we have had recent reports that Sony Ericsson is still working on a Windows Phone 7 handset, and what would be easier than to resurrect a mothballed project? More Pictures after the jump

Good news for Verizon customers! who has waited to try out the new Windows Phone 7. WP7 was built for ease of use. I played with Windows Mobile 7 and while it’s super smooth and easy to use it would be a downgrade for high class android phone users. Some sources mention that it could be released on Christmas but it looks like you have to wait a little bit longer if you want more devices.
a new tweet has just appear now, it says “Verizon is a valued partner and we look forward to seeing Windows Phone 7 devices in their stores in 2011,” which doesn’t quite refute the idea of seeing devices in time for Yuletide too. Let’s wait for a confirmation news from Verizon.

Microsoft has dropped the “SERIES” name in Windows Phone 7 Series and rename it into “Windows Phone 7″. They announced this via their official twitter channel after other announcements like Windows Phone Classic being the current Windows Mobile 6.5 and presumably Windows Phone 8 Series being the next generation. I think with shortening the name it will help but it just sound a lil bit weird if you call it Windows Phone 7 Phone because you repeat the “phone” twice. So guys, What do you think of the new name?
