Good news for LG Ally and Droid X Owners which use the Verizon service because Verizon are releasing the updates for this two smartphone this week. Though neither the LG Ally and Droid X will get the much anticipated Froyo update, they are getting a few necessary improvements and features. The Droid X has just been out about a week, but it’s not surprising that a maintenance release has been issued while The LG Ally update is smaller overall, yet very similar.

The update is said to increase QWERTY keyboard operability as well as the speed and response time for the messaging and camera applications. Read more at CNET
